History: The Department was established in the year 1945. Shri Gupta laid the founder of the Department and took charge as the Head of the Department. In the year 1960 Shri Kabbin took the charge of the department. During this period department started Major and Minor subjects for the Degree classes. At present, Dr.Smt Meenaxi B Patil is Head of the Department.
