• The Department offers Zoology as one of the optional subjects for B.Sc students.
• It has Chemistry, Botany and Zoology (CBZ) combinations to the students.
• The Department offers UGC sponsored COP.

Aim:

• “To make every pupil to understand the basic biological concepts of evolution, biodiversity, adaptation, development, natural resources and their sustainable use.”

Objectives:

• To make every student self-reliant, sustainable and fit for a better livelihood through the application of knowledge of various disciplines like Agriculture, Sericulture, Pisciculture, Dairy, Poultry, Vermiculture, Apiculture, and Animal husbandry.
• To promote the students to undertake basic research in challenging fields of Biology.
• To emphasize on the conservation of environment and also to have a checklist of various flora and fauna of Bijapur.

Strategies:

• To conduct bridge course for new students.
• To evaluate the students’ progress from time to time.
• To conduct the students’ Seminars.
• To involve students in various survey works.
• To conduct study tours and assign project works.
