Policies of other Backward Class and Minority Cell

  • To implement the reservation policy for OBC and Minorities in the college.
  • To collect data regarding the implementation of policies in respect of admissions to take up measures for achieving the objectives and targets laid down for the purpose by the State and Central Government and the UGC to guidelines the OBC and Minority students of the college, to optimally utilize the benefits of the schemes offered by the State Government, Government of India (GOI) UGC and other agencies.
  • To circulate GOI and commission’s decisions and to collect information regarding course-wise admissions to candidates belonging to the OBC and Minority.
  • To maintain information on admissions, education, training and employment of OBC & Minority prepare reports for transmission to the ministry of Human Resources Development, University Grants Commission and such other authorities as may be required and to promote higher education among these communities suffering economic, social and educational deprivations.
  • To organize and monitor special coaching/ training/ remedial coaching schemes in the college for OBC and Minority students to prepare them for competitive examination.
  • To coordinate through college with the State and Central government and other Organizations to get scholarships and other financial benefits for other OBC and Minority students.
  • To deal with representations received from OBC and Minorities students regarding their admissions, scholarships and other similar matters in the college.
  • To maintain a database of candidates belonging to OBC and Minorities in the college to facilitate placement services.

Objectives of other Backward Class and Minority Cell

  • To enhance equal opportunities for education for backward class students.
  • To facilitate financial support to students from Minority Communities from government agencies and other sources.
  • To encourage enrolment for career orientations programmes.
  • To ensure provisions for an environment where all such students feel safe and secure.
  • To ensure protection and reservation as provided in the constitution of India.
  • To be aware of the Minority students regarding various State and Central Government and UGC scholarships and other bodies.
