P.G. Department: M.A. (English) [Self – Financed Course] Goals: The goals of the Department are:
- To introduce them to the different aspects of English Literature enhancing their knowledge attained in under graduation
- enable the students to communicate undauntedly and confidently in the Global Language English
- To prepare students to master the linguistic and scientific aspects of different areas in the English Language program
- To support the learning process by providing environments where teaching, research, training, and practice complement each other.

- To equip students with good knowledge and skills to enable them to pursue their studies in Linguistics, Translation, Criticism, Literature, and teaching English as a foreign language..
SCOPE
- The Basic Essential of Speaking Fluently in the highly influential English Language is fulfilled in the course at the early stage
- After the completion of MA English Students are eligible for appearing the Centre Government based competitive exams such as NET and KSET
- Students with the degree of MA English and NET/KSET can easily be appointed as UGC Assistant Professor
- Students can run their own institutions offering the coaching classes such as English communication classes or English Grammar classes or NET/KSET classes
- Students can fetch lucrative jobs in Companies or Institutions for enhancing the English Speaking capability of Employees
- Students with MA English degree are eligible for pursuing Research course P.hd which will turn them to be Research Scholar
