The Central Library of SB Arts and KCP Science College was established in the year 1945. The primary mission of the library is to support teaching-learning and research programs.

The Central Library aims to develop a comprehensive collection of print and electronic resources useful for the faculty and college students. The library's primary clientele are the institution's students, faculty and staff. It provides ready references at the workplace, 14 departmental libraries have been established.

The Central Library serves as a gateway to the electronic and print information sources in Books, Journals, Periodicals, Reports and CD ROMs, assisting the faculty in achieving their professional missions and advancing knowledge through research and delivery of quality information. The Central Library supports a problem-based learning curriculum, evidence-based learning resources, and rigorous research. The library seeks to deliver data, information, and knowledge to local and remote users through state-of-the-art technologies.
