The Human Rights Cell and Political Science Department at BLDEA's SB Arts and KCP Science College, Vijayapur, hosted a special lecture on "The Impact of War: Human Rights Perspectives" on April 10, 2026, in the college auditorium as an IQAC initiative.

Key highlights:

• Resource Person: Dr. Raghuveer G. Kulkarni (Dean/Principal, BLDE DU's School of Law) discussed human rights as universal freedoms threatened by war's immediate (death, displacement) and long-term harms; stressed international law, accountability, and humanitarian aid.

• Guests: Principal Dr. Anil B. Naik, IQAC Coordinator Dr. P.S. Patil.

• Program Flow: Dr. Tarannum Jabeen Khan (HoD, Political Science) welcomed/introduced; Smt. Roopa S. Motagi (Human Rights Cell Chair) gave thanks; Mr. Bhimasi M. Madarkhandi compered.

• Attendance: Faculty and students.
